Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of asbuiltprints.com and to every order you place with As Built Prints ("As Built", "we", "us"), based in Christchurch, New Zealand. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

1. Our products
We make spec posters to order: custom posters built from details you give us about your car (including its VIN), and our Icons range of ready-to-order designs. Posters are available on matte paper or acrylic in the sizes shown on each product page.
Custom posters currently cover Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volkswagen. Car renderings are illustrations. We aim to match your car's paint, wheels and factory options as closely as possible, but colours on screen and in print can vary slightly, and some rare or special-order options may be shown as a close equivalent.

2. Your details and VIN
You're responsible for giving us accurate details. We use your VIN and car details only to build your poster and factory build list, as described in our Privacy Policy. You choose whether your VIN and plate appear on the poster.
If you choose "I'll send the VIN later", we'll email you for it. We can't start your poster until we have it. If we don't hear back within 30 days of your order, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

3. Proofs
For custom posters, we email a proof and your factory build list, usually within 48 hours. Please check it carefully. Nothing is printed until you approve it, and we print exactly what's on the approved proof. Reasonable changes before approval are free.

4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency selected on the site and include GST where applicable. Payment is taken when you place your order. Multi-poster discounts, such as the garage pack, are applied automatically at checkout. We may correct pricing errors, and if an error affects your order, we'll contact you before going ahead.

5. Shipping
We ship to New Zealand, Australia and the United States. Delivery times and duties are explained in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Because every poster is made to order, change-of-mind returns aren't accepted. You can cancel for a full refund at any time before you approve your proof. Damaged or faulty posters are covered by our Refund Policy.

7. Trademarks
As Built is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer. Marque and model names are used only to describe your car. You confirm that any images or details you send us are yours to share.

8. Our intellectual property
Our poster designs, layouts, photos and site content belong to As Built. Your poster is for your personal use and may not be reproduced or sold.

9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that can't be excluded. Where the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses.

10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
